Wildlife
& Flowers
The park has an amazing variety of wildlife.Foxes, squirrels and a
large variety of birds and butterflies abound, with some rare birds
recently sighted in the wildlife boardwalk area. If you spot anything
out of the ordinary send us a photo or tell us what you have seen.
There are many bird boxes located in the trees and you could well
see some rare birds.
Daffodils, snowdrops and bluebells have all been planted during the
Autumn of 2009 to add to the many which are already in place.A visit
to the park in the springtime is therefore a must for all plant lovers.
The recently constructed sensory/wildlife/wetland area is currently
being developed and as a result it is anticipated that a variety of
rare plants will be attracted to the park in the future.
Further trees have been planted on the main walkway(a mixture of oak and larch)down the centre of the park and in Ladies' Walk( 3 Acer-kindly donated by a local member) during Spring 2011.
