Breathing Life Into Parc Llewelyn Project
1. Introduction
The Breathing Life into Parc Llewelyn Project comprises of a number
of park improvements designed to encourage greater community involvement
that have been identified from the results of an extensive community
consultation excercise. Working closely with the City and Council
Of Swansea,this project has been developed with their approval and
their commitment to implement an increased management and maintenance
plan over the next five years.
2. Benefits
Refurbishment of the old tennis courts into a multi sports playing
surface. Introduction of an adventure trail. Creation of a sensory/wildlife/wetland
area. New welcome signage. Tidy Towns community events. Development
of a Friends of Llewelyn Park website. Introduction of Part time gardener.
Path resurfacing. Knotweed treatment. Extra seating and picnic benches.
Extra litter and dog waste bins.
3. Project Funding
Funding has been received for the project from the following:
- Biffaward
- Wren
- Tidy Towns
- Awards for All Wales (National Lottery)
- City and County of Swansea

The Friends of Parc Llewelyn Group are very grateful for
the financial support afforded to us by all the above organisations.
Without their financial support we would not have been able to carry
out this very worthwhile community project.
