Events at Parc Llewelyn

MAY 28th 2011-Multi Sport Play Area opening event

Swansea's Lord Mayor, Councillor Ioan Richard, officially opened themulti sport play area in an event on 28th May, 2011, celebrating the completion of the Breathing Life Project.

On a wet and cold spring bank holiday weekend, the Lord Mayor cut the ribbon prior to an 'under 11' 5-aside football match between local teams Treboeth Colts and Gwyrosydd Primary School, the latter taking the honours. A trophy commemorating the event was presented to the winning captain with medals awarded to both teams.

Many thanks to South Wales Police for allowing the presence of an Armed Response Vehicle, whose officer's explanation of the equipment they carried was of great interest to children and adults alike.

Much appreciation also for the medical cover provided by the St John's Ambulance Service and Cafe Expresso for providing hot beverages and refreshments on a very inclement day.

Litter picking and wetland seed planting

Events for seed planting were held Saturday, 7th May 2011 and Saturday, 24th September, 2011.
